What will you be doing? 

Remotely supporting USACE, the Citrix Administrator will apply strong technical knowledge of most versions of Citrix and Citrix Provisioning Services and NetScaler experience in a large Citrix farm environment to support of USACE’s servers and associated operating systems and software. Maintains currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage servers and their associated operating systems and software. 
  • Implement and support Citrix XenApp multiple environments, 5/6/7 farms. 
  • XenApp configuration, Xen Desktop and troubleshooting experience. 
  • Understanding of Citrix Provisioning Services as well as NetScaler. 
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes. 
  • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports. 
  • Deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems. 
  • Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. 
  • Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications. 
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records. 
  • Create PowerShell scripts as required. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of most versions of Citrix up to 7.15 (primary focus on XenApp) as well as NetScaler experience in a large Citrix farm environment.

  • Ability to take direction and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Install Microsoft patches and other 3rd party software.

Requirements:

Responsibilities: 

  • Contributes to and actively supports Engineering Review Board and Transformation activities to ensure design and implementation of sound solutions.

Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems. Provides recommendations on lifecycle replacement of equipment and manage full-asset management lifecycle from acquisition to disposition IAW USACE policies. Responsible for day-to-day logistics of deploying integrated solutions, including scheduling, provisioning, imaging, patching, securing, sanitizing, testing, tracking, distribution, storage, and transportation of assets. Provides support for USACE COOP activities and USACE-approved training for new technology deployment at US and global locations. Provides desk side technical support services that require technical support or root cause determination that exceeds Tier 1/2 support capabilities. Provides day-to-day technical guidance and desk side support technical assistance to team members. Responsibilities: 

  • Perform technical, operational, and training support to for desktop hardware and software packages.

Requirements: 

  • Interim Secret Clearance required prior to start and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
